Residents of the Township may use the lower level meeting rooms of the Township Hall for a nominal fee. Room rental is available for Township sponsored meetings or programs, Senior Services Associates related meetings or programs, educational, cultural, civic meetings or programs or organizations in Elgin Township or not-for -profit organizations only. Applications for use of the meeting rooms must be made on the forms provided and returned to the Administration Office at least two weeks prior to the meeting date. A reservation is not final until Administration has approved the application and confirmed the meeting room date. Space for a single meeting should be requested no more than six months in advance. Space for a series of meetings should be requested at least one month in advance for not more than six months at a time. Frequency and times of meetings are subject to the Township’s own scheduling and demand for use of the facilities. Applications shall be considered on a first come first serve basis.


A rate of $25.00 per meeting (3 hour maximum) plus a $25.00 deposit for security-refundable after the building is inspected. The fees shall be paid at the time of application. There will be an additional charge of $10.00 for lost key cards for access to the building. (Replacement cost of computerized card key control).
